Neck Pain
Neck pain, although often not sinister, can be and should always be checked especially if it was associated with an incident like whiplash. Neck pain often presents with one or more of the following symptoms:
- Headaches
- Arm/ hand pain
- Pins & needles Numbness
- Back & shoulder pain
- Dizziness
- Nausea

In our experience, which is also in line with the latest research, exercise that is carefully picked and taught by a Physiotherapist improves neck pain and overall function far quicker! This coupled with a focus on provide in-depth education to the patient on their condition, we achieve long-term results!
Back Pain
Back pain can be caused by an exceptionally large group of conditions! It is important to get the right diagnosis quickly. At Family Physio we take our time to really listen and assess the spine carefully. By taking our time in the first appointment, we can narrow down what the underlying cause of your back pain is.
Back pain often presents with one or more of the following symptoms:
- Glute (Bum) Pain
- Pain referring down the leg
- Pain Referring down arm
- Pins & needles Numbness
- Weakness in one or both legs
- Weakness in grip
- Difficulty sitting or walk
During your initial assessment the Physiotherapist will carefully listen and map out your symptoms. In doing so we will be able to narrow down the possible causes of your back pain. We will then do a full body assessment and potentially refer for ultrasound or xray if necessary.

Knee / Shoulder Pain
Frozen shoulder, AC joint, Labral tear, Rotator cuff tear, Instability, Impingement & just common shoulder injuries we deal with on a daily basis. This is also true for knee injuries be accidents or just deterioration both can leave clients with feelings of loss of confidence in their own abilities and the fear of “ will it ever be better again”? Will I ever do the things I love so much, as walking, picking up kids/grandkids, participating in their hobbies or sport or doing their jobs well. This often leads to those people to stop doing everything and becoming incredibly disheartened.
